SAFETY POLICY

1. Immediate Response
If a child runs off or engages in physical aggression, staff members are trained to respond immediately to ensure the safety of all children involved.

2. Communication with Parents
Parents will be notified if their child is involved in an incident where they run off, hurt themselves intentionally, or harm another student. This ensures transparency and allows for collaborative discussions on how to address the behavior. If this happens a second time students will take a two week break from class.

3. Behavior Assessment
Staff will assess the situation to understand the triggers and causes behind the behavior. This may include observing the child's interactions and discussing with parents and teachers.

4. Positive Reinforcement
We encourage positive behaviors through reinforcement and teaching appropriate social skills. Parents are encouraged to reinforce these behaviors at home as well.

5. Behavioral Interventions
If incidents occur more than twice, personalized behavioral interventions may be developed in collaboration with parents to support the child's needs, and a two-week break will occur.

6. Emergency Protocols
In extreme cases where a child's behavior does not improve and poses a serious risk to themselves or others, emergency protocols will be followed, including potential temporary suspension from activities to ensure everyone's safety. We believe in working with parents to create a safe and supportive environment for all children.
